Do you offer other transportation services?

- Bachelor and bachelorette parties
- Birthdays, anniversaries, or any other type of celebrations
- Corporate events and executive travel
With more than 30 years of experience in the Traverse City hospitality industry, we know how to make your event free of worries and full of fabulous memories.
When do I pay the deposit?
For private tours, a minimum deposit of $100 is due when you reserve your tour. For public join-in tours, payment is due in full when you make your reservation.
Do you allow smoking?
No. All our vehicles are non-smoking.
What can we bring with us?
Please bring cash for tasting fees and driver gratuity. Bring your ID, too, since most establishments require it no matter your age.
You may bring food or snacks, but avoid messy foods to prevent any additional cleaning fees.
On private tours, we allow a bottle or two of local wine. However, please do not bring coolers loaded with Jell-O shots, liquor, beer, etc. We want you to have a Grand experience at all establishments, and under Michigan law they must decline service to anyone who arrives over served.
How long does a tour last and how many places can we visit?
You can book a private group tour for as long as you like. A typical tour lasts four hours, which at a comfortable pace allows visits to four wineries, breweries, or distilleries.
Are Your Drivers Specially Qualified?
Yes. All our drivers have passed the test required by the State of Michigan to obtain a chauffeur’s license.
What size groups can you handle?
For a private group tour, we’re equipped to handle from two to over 100 guests. Our luxurious Mercedes-Benz high-top shuttles carry up to 14 guests. If you have more than 14, we’ll add more shuttles.
When should I make a reservation with Grand Traverse Tours?
As soon as possible, since many of our tours sell out in advance. This is especially true for Saturday tours. We do accept reservations on the day of a tour if we have availability.
Do you pick up outside of Traverse City?
Yes. For private tours, we pick up throughout northern Michigan. However, there may be an additional cost depending on distance. You also may want to buy extra time, since your tour time typically starts when we pick you up and ends when we drop you off.
What’s not included in the fee?
The price of your tour does not include:
- Tasting fees of $5-10 per establishment that most charge for multiple samples. Some tasting fees include a souvenir glass or discounts on purchases of bottles.
- A driver gratuity, which is greatly appreciated. The industry standard is 20%.
